Terms of service

These terms describe the conditions for using the Shopify Amazon Fulfillment app, its connected services, and this website. They explain the service’s scope, the controls you configure, and the responsibilities that remain with your store.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

1. Scope and acceptance

These terms apply to the website and services provided as Shopify Amazon Fulfillment. By installing, authorizing, or using the app, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you act for a business, you must have authority to accept the terms and operate the connected accounts for that business.

The Privacy Policy explains information processing. Your agreements with Shopify, Amazon, and other providers continue to govern their services. These terms do not change those agreements or remove any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. What the service provides

The app coordinates eligible Shopify physical-product orders with Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment. Depending on authorization, account capabilities, and enabled settings, it can connect accounts, map variants to seller SKUs, calculate inventory publication, configure delivery options, submit fulfillment requests, and synchronize package quantities and tracking.

The app does not itself operate a warehouse or deliver parcels. A connection or website illustration is not a guarantee that a particular country, SKU, delivery speed, packaging preference, or carrier restriction is supported. Specialized bundles, subscription-specific fulfillment, preorders, and non-Amazon warehouse routing are outside the current ordinary-product workflow unless explicitly supported.

3. Accounts, eligibility, and staff access

You must have authority to use the Shopify store, Amazon seller account, inventory, and order information connected to the app. Keep those accounts in good standing and obtain the permissions and MCF eligibility required for your intended operations. Checkout rate integration also depends on your Shopify store’s carrier-calculated shipping eligibility.

You are responsible for authorizing staff, protecting their access, and reviewing the actions taken through your accounts. Notify us if you suspect an unauthorized connection or use of the service. Revoked permissions, expired authorization, or provider restrictions may interrupt the app until the issue is resolved.

4. Merchant responsibilities

You remain responsible for your store, the goods you sell, your promises to customers, and the legality and accuracy of the instructions you give the service. In particular, you are responsible for the following operational checks.

  • Maintain accurate product information, recipient details, seller SKUs, variant mappings, and item quantities.
  • Verify dedicated Shopify locations, Amazon sources, destination countries, delivery services, inventory budgets, and packaging or carrier requirements before enabling them.
  • Check in-flight and historical orders when moving from another app so existing fulfillment responsibility is not submitted again.
  • Review holds, exceptions, inventory freshness, and reconciliation results, and arrange manual action when a workflow cannot proceed.
  • Provide appropriate customer notices and authority for sharing order information, and meet your obligations for taxes, returns, refunds, product safety, and customer communications.

5. Automation and authorization of actions

When you enable live fulfillment, automatic release, inventory publishing, or a checkout connection, you authorize the app to perform the corresponding supported actions under your settings. You can instead use manual release, review rules, or submission delays. Shadow mode allows evaluation without the app’s live fulfillment and inventory writes.

Review a configuration before enabling it. Changes may affect future processing without changing requests already accepted by another provider. Turning off automatic submission does not necessarily stop monitoring or updates for orders already in flight. When a submission result is uncertain, the service may hold the order while checking the original reference rather than immediately send another request.

6. Inventory, rates, and estimates

Inventory snapshots, reservations, buffers, shared-pool quotas, and publication targets help coordinate availability. They are observations and calculations at particular times. Orders from other channels, warehouse changes, delayed provider updates, and inaccurate mappings can affect the stock actually available when fulfillment is requested.

Fulfillment previews, displayed shipping rates, and estimated delivery information depend on the cart, address, source, configured adjustments, service availability, and any relevant currency settings. They do not guarantee final warehouse acceptance, final provider charges, or a delivery date. Verify your configuration and any promises shown to customers.

7. Shipments, cancellations, and customer orders

Amazon determines whether to accept, split, dispatch, or cancel fulfillment work and controls its warehouse and carrier processes. An order can be split across packages, and shipment updates are associated with the quantities actually reported. A request accepted for processing is different from a confirmed shipment or confirmed cancellation.

A Shopify order cancellation, refund, or app disconnection does not automatically establish that the Amazon fulfillment request has been cancelled. Monitor the final provider status, manage any already-dispatched packages, and arrange refunds, returns, or customer support through your store and the relevant provider. The app does not provide a complete returns-management service.

8. Availability and external dependencies

The service depends on Shopify, Amazon, hosting infrastructure, networks, account permissions, and provider API availability. Outages, rate limits, provider changes, maintenance, or suspended accounts may delay or prevent synchronization and fulfillment actions. We may adapt features to keep the integration working with supported services.

When information or capabilities cannot be verified, the app may pause an action or require review. It does not automatically replace an unsupported hard requirement with a different packaging or carrier option. No continuous availability, fixed processing interval, or delivery service level is promised by this website.

9. Acceptable use

Use the app only for lawful, authorized store operations and in accordance with the applicable platform requirements. Do not use it in a way that compromises other stores, customers, or the service.

  • Do not submit orders or access information for a store or account you do not control or have permission to operate.
  • Do not bypass authentication, store boundaries, capability checks, rate limits, or other protective controls.
  • Do not upload malicious content, interfere with the service, or use it for unlawful goods, fraudulent transactions, or misleading fulfillment activity.
  • Do not send account passwords, access tokens, or unnecessary customer records through website contact forms or ordinary support email.

10. Store data and intellectual property

You retain your rights in the store information and materials you provide. You grant the access and permissions needed to process that information for your configured service, support, security, and obligations described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having authority to provide it.

Rights in the app software, website design, documentation, and related materials remain with their respective owners. Permission to use the service does not transfer ownership of those materials. Do not copy, redistribute, or misuse them except as authorized or permitted by applicable law.

11. Suspension, disconnection, and uninstallation

You can stop using the app, change supported controls, revoke a connected authorization, or uninstall through Shopify. Before doing so, check pending submissions and in-flight packages and arrange the monitoring or manual follow-up your store still needs. Uninstallation and data deletion are separate processes described in the Privacy Policy.

Access or particular actions may be limited or suspended where needed to address unauthorized use, a security issue, an unsupported operation, a provider restriction, or a legal requirement. Where reasonably practicable, we will explain an issue that requires action from you. A suspension or termination does not reverse work a provider has already accepted.

12. Service limitations and liability

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free provider data, a particular inventory outcome, warehouse acceptance, or on-time delivery. Safeguards and recovery controls reduce operational risk but do not eliminate every integration or fulfillment error.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including loss of profit, lost sales, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, remedies, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13. Changes, questions, and applicable rights

We may update the app and these terms as functionality, provider requirements, or legal obligations change. The date above identifies this version. Any notice, consent, or other requirements imposed by applicable law continue to apply. These terms do not select a particular court or remove protections that otherwise apply to you.

For a question, operational concern, or dispute, contact [email protected] with the relevant store domain and a concise description. We will review the matter with you. Use the Privacy Policy contact process for requests involving personal information.
